Ha Noi launched 'hop-on hop-off' bus service for the first time in May, aiming to boost tourism. The city tour buses run from 9am to 5pm every day through 25 streets, taking passengers to 30 cultural and historical sites.
The bus service ranges between nearly 9 and 28 USD per person. The Ha Noi Transport Service has recently provided one more option for passgeners, offering tickets at nearly 9 USD for those who don’t want to hop off during the journey.
So far, the buses have serviced thousands of visitors, mostly foreigners.
Phil Doyle, another Australian tourist, told reporters: "It is very interesting, we learn a lot about Vietnamese culture. The price is good, not expensive. The quality is good very modern. We like it."
The transport firm is considering offering night tour buses to help passengers enjoy the cooler weather and avoid traffic jams.
Endang Yus Driana, an Indonesian tourist said: "Because we are in tropic so at night would be much cooler, better."
Doug Edwards, an Australian tourist said: "The night tour, I think it would be very popular. People would enjoy the city at night, stop at restaurants and looking around."
The Ha Noi tour buses set off at the Hoan Kiem Lake. They run through renowned landscapes, namely Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, West Lake – Tran Quoc pagoda, the Temple of Literature and the Old Quarter, among others.
