Perfume Pagoda is one of the highlights of the Hanoi area and one of the most important religious sites in Buddhist Vietnam. Every spring, after the Vietnamese New Year, thousands of Vietnamese pilgrims come here to pray for all the health and prosperity they need to get them through the year. On arrival, take a short walk long the beautiful landscapes to Yen wharf for enjoy a rowing boat along Yen stream with crossing by many Buddish shrines and pagodas. Visit Trinh temple and trek up to the “Huong Tich” cave on the top of the mountain (Optional for cable cabin up/down mountain peak for visit main Huong Tich Pagoda).

Perfume Pagoda  Cave

Although there is a road from the pier to the base of pagoda complex, using row boats on Yen Vi river which is the more romantic and scenic alternative to reach Perfume Pagoda. Upon arriving in the Thien Tru Dock, you will follow the very scenic path leading to Huong Tich Grotto with an endless number of steps, along narrow and bumpy stairs. According to a legend, the Huong Tich grotto was discovered 2000 years ago. The grotto, which serves also religious events, has several colorful stalagmites and stalactites.
