Conducted by the New York State Council on the Arts and endorsed by Governor Andrew Cuomo, Big Cat is aimed at raising public awareness of protecting animals in the group of larger felid species including tiger, lion, and panther in Asian countries. The organizers want to call for wildlife protection through art and culture activities.

The two ao dai collections of Thuan Viet are called “Five Tigers” and “Vietnamese Flowers”. The “Five Tigers” collection is designed in style of old ao dai worn by women in the north with patterns reflecting images of tigers in the style of traditional Vietnamese paintings.

He will join the program together with representatives from seven countries including Bhutan, China, Indonesia, Iran, Japan, the Republic of Korea and Mongolia who will bring different art performances to the event.
